Support
BloatedGoat estimates fermentable-carb load from a food, barcode, or ingredient list. Analyses are educational, not medical advice.
Contact
This page is BloatedGoat support. For a specific problem, include your iOS version, what you searched or scanned, and what you expected to happen. Do not send photos of medical records.
How to check a food
- Search — type a food, product, or dish and pick a match.
- Barcode — scan the package barcode. BloatedGoat looks it up in Open Food Facts.
- Ingredient photo — photograph the ingredient list. Text is read on your iPhone; the photo is not uploaded.
Free analyses and subscription
You get 5 free analyses. Typed searches, barcode scans, and ingredient-list photos all count. After that, Yearly Unlimited is a one-year subscription. Apple shows the price for your region in the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.
- The subscription auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel or manage it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- If you reinstall the app or switch phones, use Restore purchase in Profile.

Camera and scanning
If scan buttons do nothing, check Settings → BloatedGoat → Camera. Ingredient-list photos need a sharp, well-lit label. Barcodes need the full code in frame.
Results look wrong
Rankings are estimates from ingredient data and a FODMAP-style library, not a lab test. Packaged products depend on what Open Food Facts or USDA has on file. If a listing is incomplete, try a clearer ingredient photo.
Privacy
Read the Privacy Policy. Analyses stay on your iPhone. Food names and barcodes are sent only to look up ingredients.
